Swing Street New York is the orchestra chosen in 2004 by the A & E Network for their premiere of the movie The Great Gatsby, an unprecedented event which took place in the Grand Hall of Grand Central Station in New York. Gatsby himself wouldn’t have missed a beat – right setting, right music, right outfits – and very much the right band. Swing Street New York arrives dressed in Twenties-style white dinner jackets and shirts with winged collars, while Charleston dancers and costumed flappers are available to provide the authentic look for any event.
